Teacher's Day Celebration 5/9/2011

5th September is the day to remember the first President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan, a teacher-philosopher whose birthday is celebrated as the Teachers’ Day in India.
It was a special day in Orchids with students emulating their teachers in the way they could. They tried to resemble the teachers they represented, in the way they dressed and handled their classes. A special assembly was organized and the Teacher Representatives gave clues of their teachers, for the audience to guess who they represented. The Head Girl, T.V. Spandana stood for the Principal. The teachers were gifted by the Principal, Mrs. Mona Mehdi and it was a happy occasion when the teachers were rewarded. The students showed a power-point presentation on the roles of a teacher with pictures of their teachers. The day’s programme ended with cutting of the cake.
It was an early dispersal for students. A lunch was organized by the management for members.
