Stage fright is much harder
on kids. At ORCHIDS -The International school we have conducted a Talk Show
competition on 25th October 2013 to explore, encourage and develop
cognitive skills, to bring out the inherent talent of the students and give
them an opportunity to talk on the stage. Talk shows provide students with
critical thinking skills, as well as a range of other vital skills which enable
them to speak confidently in public. They also give students an opportunity to
showcase them in a competitive arena, giving them the practice of public
speaking and engaging and exciting every one involved. The various topics given
to the students were Seasons, National leaders, States, My favorite cartoon and
My ambition in life.
This competition served as a platform for building
confidence in students and nurturing the abilities to overcome fear. Everyone
enjoyed this competition with great zeal and enthusiasm.
